Mini-Cassia community leaders are working on a plan to start a local chapter of the Idaho Suicide Prevention Network. The idea was discussed after a meeting held Jan. 12, 2018 in Burley to develop an action plan to combat suicide in the community. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in Idaho for people ages 15-34. Idaho is consistently among the states with the highest suicide rate, and ranked eighth in the nation in 2016.
